Don't forget about FIRST LEGO League Registration

It's easy to think "oh, the FLL is in the fall", but registration started several weeks ago.  As the FLL continues to expand, consider getting your national registration in earlier this year.  Already there are three teams from Maine that have registered.
Benefits of early registration:
  • Any thing you order (playing field, kits, team manuals, etc) will come during the summer instead of waiting until the fall when those orders can get a little backlogged.
  • No worries about being left out; registration is always open until they run out of slots and that means some teams who wait too long (usually towards the end of September) can't register.
  • One less thing to worry about during the hectic September when you get back to school
All teams have to register Nationally in order to be eligible to apply to a tournament (at any level).  So registration is a TWO STEP process.  National registration runs from May to September, and then Maine registration is the first two weeks in October.  We can only take teams that are on the National registry.

We're expecting an even bigger FLL season here in Maine as more and more schools get involved.  The 2012 season's theme is Senior Solutions and looks at issues faced by our older citizens.  Form a team and get registered now!
