National FIRST LEGO League Registration is CLOSED

9/24/2012

Last week it looked like registration would maybe last until the 9/30 cutoff date.  This morning we got an email from FIRST to say that they had a LOT of registrations come in over the weekend and it looked like they would be ending registration on Tuesday morning.

We moved as fast as we could to let you all know about moving ASAP to get registered... but... National registration closed around 3:00 pm today.

That said, not all hope is lost.  If you still want to have a team there are some options:
  • Don't need a field setup kit?  No problem we can get you registered
  • Need a field setup kit? We may be able to lend you one of the competition field setup kits if you PROMISE to take good care of it.
  • Eligible for the Time Warner Cable New Team Grant? We may be able to get you in.

But no matter which, you need to call us or email ASAP to see what we can do.  I don't use ASAP much, but this is one of those cases.  We normally pick up 10-15 registrations in the last week and we lost almost 6-1/2 days this year.  It has happened in the past, but never this early that I can remember.

NOTE:  Maine Championship registration still starts 10/1/2012 and all team coaches will be notified of the registration process, probably this weekend.  It is non-competitive so we have space for ALL Maine teams.
